Although we offer gentle, compassionate dentistry, some patients may benefit from nitrous oxide, oral sedation, or IV sedation. Nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, promotes relaxation during treatment, but leaves no lingering side effects. With oral or IV sedation, patients receive anti-anxiety medication, either in pill form or intravenously, that allows them to respond to Dr. Martin during treatment but remember little about the procedure the following day.
