Veneers and Lumineers

Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers

Do embarrassing chips, cracks, or stains keep you from showing off your smile? Dr. Martin can mask defects and enhance your smile with porcelain veneers. These thin shells are handcrafted in an award-winning dental lab, one of the few accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Martin will permanently bond the veneers to your front teeth. Designed to mimic the translucency and durability of your natural teeth, porcelain veneers can revive any smile and give your self-confidence a much-needed lift.

Following your initial consultation and assessment, Dr. Martin will create a wax-up model of your teeth and build your new smile upon it. This will reveal any concerns with the planned treatment and give you the opportunity to see your potential results. Once the perfect design is achieved, Dr. Martin will prepare your teeth and place temporary veneers. After your permanent veneers arrive in our office, Dr. Martin will remove the temporaries and permanently affix your handcrafted porcelain veneers.

In certain cases, Dr. Martin may suggest Lumineers. Many patients who want a fabulous smile with a non-invasive procedure choose Lumineers. These ultra-thin veneers require minimal or no tooth preparation, which reduces procedure time and the likelihood of tooth sensitivity. However, these are only appropriate for about 10 to 15% of all case. If you feel that your teeth are too small, short, have gaps between them, or are not as white as you'd like, you are probably a Lumineers candidate. This two-visit approach provides instant gratification and a long-lasting solution for smile enhancement.

For patients who prefer not to have veneers, cosmetic bonding presents a one-visit solution to correct chips, cracks, stains, gaps, and other smile imperfections. New dental materials mimic natural tooth enamel to make bonded teeth look sensational.

You shouldn’t have to hide your smile. Call our office to schedule a consultation and find out if porcelain veneers or Lumineers are right for you. Located in North Dallas, we welcome patients from Addison, Richardson, Carrollton, and Plano. Learn more about porcelain veneers and Lumineers in our patient library.
